The sun was out, but there was fast approaching a very dark cloud, Dan was ready, Karen just about to leave the barn to walk across the manicured lawns of the Priory Barns in Little Wymondley…our first sponsor the the British rain wanted to be centre of attention. Karen stepped out umbrella in hand and then the heavens really opened up. I managed to get shots of Karen walking up the aisle with her mum before retreating to the relative comfort of the gazebo! If Tim and I had draw straws his would have been the short one, with him out there being beaten by first sponsor. The it was our second sponsors time in the lime light, Jimmy Choo. Karen turned to face her soon to be husband Dan, and her Jimmy Choo got stuck in the decking, once pulled out it got stuck again, I think Karen ended up saying her vows with her shoe stuck in the decking. A lot of couples would have been horrified by the proceedings. Dan & Karen took it in their stride and their friends all stuck around and braved the rain to watch their good friends tie the knot. If there were awards for “The Most British Person” there it would hands down go to Dan’s Dad! He had no umbrella and just sat through the whole ceremony drenched not only in rain but his emotions as he proudly watched his first son get married to the love of his life, Karen.
