Sorry for the delay in posting this wedding after our sneak peak a while ago. Things have been a little frantic at this end and I have been on holiday in the middle of it all too, leaving Ben to look after everything. I’m back now though so here are a few from Chris and Debbie’s wedding. After the fun we had on the engagement shoot the wedding was no different. The day was filled with so much fun and excitement and Chris and Debbie were very kind to us in sitting us down with some of their family for the wedding breakfast.

Wedding: Nathan & Dani

We love it when couples get involved in the choice of location for their wedding photos. Dani scoured the internet and found this little place and it was perfect. We often like to take our couples off somewhere quiet after the ceremony and let them have some time to themselves and Dani chose an ideal place for it.

This little gem of a garden had so many different areas to it, each as striking as the next. We could have taken pictures there all afternoon still not have exhausted this place. I can’t wait to go there again some time.

Wedding: Payin and Mary-Jane

Well, what can I say about Payin and Mary-Jane’s wedding. it was a day filled with colour, smiles, laughter, love and to top it all off, a little bit of dancing.

We had a great time on our engagement shoot but the wedding was something else.

We did a photobooth idea for this wedding which was something a little new for us so we have got two slideshows for you today. We thought we would split the main album and the photo booth to make each slideshow a little more manageable.

A special thank you needs to go out to MJ’s bridesmaids, they were so helpful throughout the day and helped us through the group shots. Without you guys I think we would still be out there trying to find the people we needed for each shot. Thanks.

Sneak Peak: Chris & Debbie Harrington Wedding

Here’s a sneak peak at the photographs from Chris and Debbie Harrington’s Wedding on the weekend. We shot at Woodlands Manor, in Clapham, which will be the 2nd wedding in as many weeks there. Check out these favours for all the guest from A Quarter Of. Even as we speak I am polishing off the jar of orange jelly beans (passionfruit I believe) yum.

Wedding: Hannah and Nathan

So we gave you a sneak peak at the favours from this wedding so here are some more. We had a great time with Nathan and Hannah, we are pretty sure it wont be the last time we work with them as they go ahead with their wedding shop. We’ll blog about it when they are up and running, but i am sure it will be a great shop, with Hannah’s style i think there is no doubt!

When Clients become friends

Often as a wedding photographer you are regarded hired help, which is fine because, well, we are. But every now and then we get treated like guests, like friends. With Nathan and Hannah it has been just like that. We had a great time getting to know them before the wedding. Particularly during our engagement shoot with them and it has just been a pleasure to work with them. When we turned up at the reception we were rather pleasantly surprised to find that we actually had seats during the wedding breakfast! Normally we get to grab a bite to eat in the kitchens or something (and we are happy with that) but on this occasion we were sitting with the rest of the grown ups. Hannah did a great job with the decoration and the favours were no exception! We’ll blog the rest of the wedding later.

We’re at the wedding fair in Knebworth

A true white wedding

The year is almost over and we may just have the white Christmas we all wished for. We’re hoping this is a sign of things to come. At the begining if Feb we have our first wedding for 2010, how exciting! They’ve got a horse and carrige to bring the bride to the church. I’m thinking, how amazing would it be if the weather was White…a proper “white wedding”

Wedding: James & Becky

I traveled down to Kent for James & Becky’s Wedding. I met James at the gorgeous venue and to my surprise and delight he turned up in a stunning Aston Martin DB9! It has to be said he looked a little nervous as he parked the car.

Having said all that, when Becky turned up everyone forgot about the car. I loved this wedding ceremony very intimate and clearly James & Becky had all the people closest to them sharing their moment.

Wedding: Matt and Jo

Our last wedding of the summer (yes thats it, the summer has gone!) was Matt and Jo. The planning for this wedding was a little different to normal as they did the bulk of it from New Zealand where they now live. Having our initial meetings with a couple over Skype was a first for us but it worked, we got on like a house on fire. These guys were beautiful and the day was one of those really relaxing ones, for us anyway.

Jo was so beautiful on the day and every shot of her had her perfect smile, Matt wasn’t too bad either! Here are a few shots from the day.

Make-up artist – Michelle Sissons

The day started with a little bit of rain, thankfully that had stopped by the time the ceremony had finished. Here is one of my favourites from the day with Jo managing to look effortlessly elegant.

I was with Matt in the morning and I saw one of the coolest things ever! Opening a bottle of champagne with a champagne flute where you actually break the top of the bottle off using only the champagne flute itself. I didn’t believe it was possible until I saw it. Here is Matt having a go.

We’d planned on doing some of the shots with Matt and Jo in a beautiful field across the road from the Sheene Mill which had some lovely grasses but unfortunately the farmer decided to plough it two days before the wedding, ah well. These things happen.

At the end of the night Clive, Matt’s dad, surprised them with some lanterns on the upper lawns of the venue, it was a really nice end to a great day.
